I love to travel and have taken snapshots on my trips for years. And that, plus some snaps of family and friends, was it. I've decided that I want to become a better amateur photographer. Also, I live in New York City where there are endless interesting things to photograph - it's silly to just take photos when I travel. I've taken some classes, but now comes the hard part -- the practice, practice, practice. I'm still lazy about schlepping around heavy gear (and unskilled enough) that I'll stick with my travel-zoom compact camera - at least for now. We'll see how it goes.
